Questa settimana il tema principale è lo sport, dal nostro English Summer Camp ci spostiamo in California e impariamo tutto sul Superbowl. Laura ci parla delle finali di Wimbledon, Luca del basket e Tommaso del calcio inglese. La diretta prosegue poi con la solita rubrica di Gossip condotta da Dj Matilde e Tommaso, Luca e Sofia... Pietro ci informa sullo svolgimento della notte al Campfire di Englishland, infine Rachele e Laura concludono con una recensione di Alvin and the Chipmunks... Sports (and Gossip) Crazy at Englishland
This week’s road trip takes our summer camp to California, where we learned all about the Superbowl. The Superbowl is usually the highlight of the American sports calander, but of course, Italian children will take any opportunity to share their own sporting traditions! Laura told us about the weekend’s Wimbledon finals and her favourite player, Serena Williams. Luca told us all about his favourite sport, basketball, and the upcoming Olympics in Rio de Janiero. Tommaso took a different angle, telling us about a famous British football league and it’s unexpected connection to Italy.
We’re also really and truly gossip obsessed this week! Rachele shared with us her ‘I Hate Justin Bieber’ manifesto and implored us to listen to her views. DJ Matilde also shared some information about Shawn Mendes, while our bumper gossip team of Sofia, Tommaso and Luca shared the latest gossip on One Direction, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and basketball. Sofia also got us excited for some upcoming films – including Dunkirk, the film responsible for Harry Styles’ new haircut!
Other highlights of the hour include Rachele and Laura’s review of Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Pietro’s retelling of a camp night here at Englishland. Even if the weather hasn’t been perfect this week, it’s still a perfect day to listen to the radio!
